A bus runs from Ban Phe to the Eastern Bus Terminal at Ekkamai. From there the BTS and the Airport Rail Link lead to the airport, with a change on the way. Add the wait for the bus, the ride, the changes with luggage and the walk to the terminal, and the whole trip takes far longer than the car.

It works for a morning flight the following day when you spend a night in Bangkok, and less well for a same-day flight.
