Ao Cho Beach, Koh Samet
Ao Cho is a small bay in the middle of Koh Samet's east coast, divided by a wooden pier and shaded by trees. It is quieter than Ao Wong Duean next door and busier than the secluded bays further south.

A bay with a pier
The wooden pier makes the water slightly less clear than elsewhere, but the shade is plentiful and the beach is calm. Hotels and bungalows stand behind it, with simple places to eat. A path from Ao Wong Duean leads over the headland.
It is a middle ground between the busy and the remote.
Getting there
Tickets for the ferry cost 70 THB one way and 120 THB for the return, per person. It takes 30 to 40 minutes and runs from 08:00 to 18:00 each day. From the main pier a songthaew follows the island road. Some services call at Ao Wong Duean, which is a walk away. You can book a car from your hotel to the pier.
