Why the price is higher than from Suvarnabhumi
Both airports are on the same side of the coast, but Don Mueang sits in the north of the city, on the wrong side of Bangkok for the eastern motorway. The extra kilometres and the extra tolls are in the price, so the fare for the same car is higher than from the other airport.
The prices for all seven cars are in the table on this page.
Low-cost flights, late landings
Many Don Mueang flights are budget flights that land in the evening or late at night. The fare does not change for them. The driver meets you at Gate 5 for international flights or Gate 11 for domestic ones, and waits for a delayed plane with no charge.
A flight that lands after 14:00 will not reach the 18:00 ferry comfortably, so decide before you book if you will sleep in Ban Phe.
Sharing the cost
Four people split the Toyota Innova at 2,599 THB, six split the Hyundai H1 at 3,999 THB, and nine split the Toyota Commuter at 3,499 THB. For a group of that size the cost per head is lower than for a pair in a sedan.
Fuel, tolls and parking are inside the price. You pay the driver in cash, or by Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, transfer by QR code or bank transfer to a Thai account if you prefer.
Not included
Boat tickets to Koh Samet are separate. The ferry is 70 THB one way and 120 THB return per person. From 24 December to 5 January 400 THB is added to the car price. Cancelling is free. See how to get from Don Mueang to Ban Phe for other ways.
